Agnes A. Thompson, 88, Co-owner of Thompson's Dairy

Photo of Agnes A. Thompson Agnes A. Thompson (nee Klimosewski), 88, of Weston, Massachusetts, formerly of South Amherst, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., after a short illness.

Born in Amherst, Ohio, she was a South Amherst resident until 1988, moving to Pepperell, MA, then to Norumbega Point in Weston, MA in 1996.

She was co-owner of Thompson’s Dairy and Thompson’s Dairy Store in South Amherst. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, S. Amherst. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Agnes is survived by her son: Robert of Cincinnati; daughters: Sally Toran of Needham, MA, Joanne Tyler of Grafton, Susan Thompson of Lancaster, MA, and Nancy Clark of Scituate, MA; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother: Joe Klimosewski of Chandler, Arizona; and sisters: Victoria Weaver of Toledo, and Mary Ann Wragg of Vermilion.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Isaac John Thompson, September 25, 1973; and a brother: John Klimosewski.

Friends may call Friday, December 12, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church; 333 South Lake Street, South Amherst. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
