Eugene F. Polgar, 87, Worked at U.S. Steel for 40 years
Eugene F. Polgar, 87, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center after a two year illness.He was born September 14, 1916 in Lorain and had been a life long resident.
Mr. Polgar was employed by U.S. Steel Corp for 40 years as a Crane Operator. He was also a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening and hunting.
Survivors include his sister Elvira Quester of Avon Lake and nephews Norman and Donald Resko. Preceding him in death is his parents Joseph and Theresa (nee Horvath) Polgar, brother Joseph Polgar and sister Helen Resko.
Friends may visit Saturday, December 13, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Ave., Lorain, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Saturday December 13, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funereal Home. Father James Schmitz will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
