Dolores M. "Lolo" Ruiz, 80, Enjoyed spending time with his family
Dolores M. "Lolo" Ruiz, age 80, of Lorain died Sunday December 14, 2003 in the Cleveland Clinic Hospice, following an extended illness.Born May 14, 1923 in Florida, Puerto Rico, Mr. Ruiz had lived in Lorain since 1951, coming from Puerto Rico. He was a retired employee of U.S. Steel in Lorain. He was an active member of Iglesia Pentecostal Cristo Misionera in Lorain. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by one son, Luis Martinez of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Luis Carlos Martinez and Lynna Maria Martinez, both of Cleveland. Other survivors include one brother, Eddy Martinez of Sabana Seca, Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leonarda (nee Matos) Martinez in 1984, one daughter, Lidia Zelesky in 1990, five brothers, his parents, Luis and Maria (nee Ruiz) Martinez.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Miguer Serrano, pastor of Iglesia Pentecostal Cristo Misionera, officiating.
Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
