Jane K. Fillmore, 87, Enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading

Jane K. Fillmore (nee Kubuj), 87 years of age, and a resident of Henrietta Township, passed away, Monday, December 15, 2003 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 20, 1916 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She made her home in Cleveland, Greene, and Warren prior to moving to Henrietta Township in 1961.

During World War II Jane worked for Packard Electric in Warren making wiring harnesses for tanks. She was a housewife and mother during her married life. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and reading.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara J. Smith of Henrietta Township, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her brother Eddie Kubuj of Cortland, Ohio, and her sisters Leocadia Milanich of Rocky River, Julia Coxson of Warren, and Irene Roth of Conneaut.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, William S. Fillmore in 1987, her parents Stanley and Stephanie (Mosciska) Kubuj, and by her sister Sophia Leeper in 1997.

Friends may call Thursday, December 18, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Denis St. Marie, pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in South Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
