Ann Marie Czarney, 56, Administrative Assistant, enjoyed traveling

Ann Marie Czarney, (nee Katricak), 56, of Lorain, died Thursday, December 18, 2003 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a short illness.

She was born July 27, 1947 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Mrs. Czarney worked at First Federal Savings and Loan in Lorain as the Administrative Assistant to President Robert Brosky. She began her career with the bank in 1965 and had worked there for 36 years.

Mrs. Czarney was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Lodge, Slovak Catholic Sokols Wr. #111, and a member and current Vice President of the National Slovak Society Branch #160. She enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James J. Czarney of Lorain; daughter: Margaret Czarney of Canton; son: Michael Czarney of Wayne, Michigan; parents: John and Rita Katricak (nee Petras) of Lorain; and brothers: Rev. Kenneth Katricak, O.S.B. of Parma, and Robert F. Katricak of Lorain.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Avenue, in Lorain. The Reverend David Novak, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Most Rev. Roger Gries, O.S.B., Rt. Rev. Clement Zeleznik, O.S.B., and Rev. Leonard Bacik, pastor of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Middleburg Heights will concelebrate along with several priests from St. Andrew Abbey in Cleveland and the Diocese of Cleveland. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
