Margaret M. Nemeth, 87, Enjoyed gardening and needle point
Margaret Marie Nemeth, (nee Tokar), age 87, of Amherst, died Friday, December 19, 2003 at Elms Nursing Home, Wellington, following a short illness.Born December 11, 1915 in Lorain, she grew up in Vermilion and moved to Avon in 1964. For the past several years she had resided in Amherst.
During World War II, Margaret worked for Simplex in Sandusky as a parts assembler. Following that she was self-employed as a house keeper.
She was a member of the 1st Spiritual Society of Bedford, and enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and needle point.
Surviving is her son James D. Nemeth Sr., of Amherst, three grandchildren, a brother Nicholas Tokar of Vermilion, and a sister, Elizabeth Horvath of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Joseph, in 1961, her brothers Louis Tokar in 2002, and Frank Tokar, a sister Anna Churchill in 1995, and her parents Nicholas and Marie (nee Uveges) Tokar.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Allen Grother, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will follow in North Murray Ridge Cemetery, Elyria.
