Danny Wilbur Buchs, 50 years of age, and a resident of Oberlin, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2003 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a lengthy illness.He was born September 20, 1953 in Oberlin where he was raised and graduated from Firelands High School with the class of 1971. He has been a lifetime resident of Oberlin.
He was self-employed and co-owner of Wilbur Buchs Spray Painting, an interior and exterior painting company, for over 35 years. Danny was a member of Pittsfield Community Church and enjoyed reading, woodworking, electronics, and computers.
Survivors include his wife of twenty four years, Diana Lynne Buchs (nee Hawke), his daughter Jessica Buchs at home, his parents Wilbur and Barbara Buchs (nee Brooks) of Oberlin, his brother Randy Buchs of New Port Richey, Florida, and his sister Bonnie Brooks of Port Richey, Florida, five nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from Pittsfield Community Church, 17026 State Route 58, Pittsfield. The Rev. Ken Gerhart, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery, Camden Township, Ohio.
