Marjorie B. Gersdorf, 86, Enjoyed crafts and gardening

She was born August 29, 1917 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and had moved to Cleveland three years ago, coming from Avon Lake, where she had resided for 50 years.

Mrs. Gersdorf was a former business owner in the medical field, and later worked and volunteered for the Lorain County Office on Aging. Marjorie was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Avon Lake. She enjoyed crafts and gardening.

Mrs. Gersdorf is survived by two daughters: Beverly Dennerll (Norbert) of Carlisle Township and Linda Gersdorf of Cleveland; two grandchildren: Jerold and Todd Evans; and two great-grandchildren: Tobby and Conner Evans; and a sister Carolyn Krejci of Westlake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius (1960); three sisters: Marian Ciccerone, Helen Fisher, and Lillian Zipay; and brothers: John and Joseph Zipay.

Friends may call the Busch-Burmiester Family Chapel; 32000 Detroit Road, Avon from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 27 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Eileen Woyen, associate pastor at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park
