Annie Farais, 78, Enjoyed bowling, cooking, and traveling

Photo of Annie Farais Annie Farais (nee Neely), 78, of Lorain, died Friday, December 26, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 4, 1925 in Centerville, Tennessee and had resided in Lorain since 1948.

Mrs. Farais worked at the Pentagon in Washington, DC as a secretary for several years. When she moved to Lorain she worked for Head Start and for the Lorain Public School System as a cafeteria working retiring in 1988.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed bowling and participated in many leagues throughout the city. She also enjoyed cooking, crafting, quilting, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Martin Farais of Lorain, son Michael Farais of Lorain, daughter Nancy Reardon of Lorain, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, brother Dee Cee Neely of Columbia, Tennessee, and sisters Bernice Proffitt of Columbia, Tennessee and Katherine Neely of Centerville, Tennessee. Six brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
