Florence H. Frick, 86, Enjoyed cooking and baking
Florence H. Frick (nee Meresicky) 86 of Avon Lake, formerly of Lyndhurst, passed away, Sunday, December 28, 2003, at Harborside Care Center, Westlake following complications of pneumonia.Mrs. Frick was born April 13, 1917 in Cleveland and had lived in Independence Village, Avon Lake for the past year.
Mrs. Frick graduated from Notre Dame High School Cleveland, worked for the Upjohn Company, Cleveland. After Marriage, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake and while on the east side she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mayfield Heights. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Her husband of 40 years, Ralph Barlow Frick, and former employee of TRW, passed away in 1989. She is survived by 4 daughters: Melissa L. Spry (Donald) of Lexington Park, MD; Susan Cowles (Larry) of Corona, CA; Laura Frick of Cleveland Heights and Christina Frick of Kent; a son: Kevin (Jane) Frick of Bay Village and 10 grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Frick is preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Mary (nee Harhay) Mereskicky and 3 brothers: Jack Marcy, Ralph Marcy and Edward Marcy.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. (Rt. 83), Avon Lake, Friday January 2, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service at the funeral home, Saturday at 9:30 p.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church, 410 Lear Rd. Avon Lake at 10 a.m. Fr. James Beatty of the Church will officiate. Interment will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
