Ramon J. Sipos, 70, Served in the US Air Force during Korean War

He was born August 27, 1933 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Mr. Sipos served with the US Air Force during the Korean War as an Airman First Class for four years.

He worked for Columbia Gas as a service man for 36 years before retiring.

Mr. Sipos was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Doris (nee Kuhn), Sister Phyllis J. Tammaro of Amherst, one nephew, four nieces, one great nephew and seven great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents John F. Sipos and Mary T. Sipos (nee Popovich) and Brother Richard Sipos.

There will be no visitation. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N. Ridge Rd., Lorain. The Rev. David Woost, associate pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter of Lorain will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
