Debra Jean Sahr, 45, She was a loving and compassionate person
Debra Jean (nee Henry) Sahr, 45 of Sheffield Lake died on Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria, OH following a three year battle with cancer.Mrs. Sahr was born on January 20, 1958, in Lorain, OH and was a lifetime resident of Lorain and Sheffield Lake. She graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School in 1976 and attended Bowling Green State University. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Lorain.
She had been employed at the Lorain County Probate Court until 1988. Until her illness prevented, she had been employed in the customer service department at Discount Drug Mart in Avon Lake. She loved animals and was a loving and compassionate person.
Mrs. Sahr is survived by her husband of 10 years Richard S. Sahr of Sheffield Lake, her mother Lillian H. (nee Sharog) Henry of Lorain and her brother David J. Henry of Lorain,
She is preceded in death by her father Marlyn Y. Henry in September 2003, her paternal grandparents Charles B. & Violet D. Henry, maternal grandparents Joseph & Elizabeth Sharog and an Uncle Robert J. Sharog.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Friday, January 2, 2004, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with prayer services at 7:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held on January 3, 2004, at 11:00 am at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH, with Rev. Attila Zeres Kovacs, pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Hungarian Reform Church, 1681 E. 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio 44055. Debra Jean Sahr will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.
