Roseann Fischer, 80, Enjoyed quilting, crosswords, and volunteering
Roseann Fischer (nee Kirkpatrick), 80 years of age, and a resident of Avon Lake, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2004 at University Hospital following a brief illness.Mrs. Fischer was born December 16, 1923 in Shelby, Ohio and had lived in Avon Lake for the past 48 years.
Mrs. Fischer was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels and ushered at Playhouse Square. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery work and doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Fischer is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard J. Fischer, five daughters: Marijo Nielson of Avon Lake, Linda Stotridge (John) of Avon Lake, Kathy Fischer of Avon Lake, Jerri Sherban (Kenny) of North Ridgeville and Amy Fischer of Chesapeake, VA. Other survivors include two grandchildren and her sister Joann Kiser (Jerry). She is preceded in death by brothers: Charles Kirkpatrick and Thomas Kirkpatrick, a sister Mary Schafer and parents John and Mabel (nee Huber) Kirkpatrick.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 9, 2004 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 32747 Lake Road, Avon Lake at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Lynne Schlessman of the Church will officiate. Interment will be private in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
