Margherita D. Voet, 85, Founding member of Aqua Marine Swim Club

Mrs. Voet was born January 7, 1919 in Cleveland and had lived in Sheffield Lake since 1956.

Mrs. Voet worked as a cashier for Kroger in Sheffield Lake and Sparkle in Avon Lake for many years. She was a graduate of West Tech High School, Cleveland. She was a founding member of the Aqua Marine Swim Club, and a member of the Aqua Marine Lady’s Golf League. She was also a member of St. Thomas Church and the church’s Lady’s Guild.

Her first husband, Clyde J. Adams passed away in 1962 and her second husband, Lawrence B. Voet passed away in 1955.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Caroline E. Nott (Mac) of Sheffield Lake and Judy E. Redilla (Joseph) of Amherst. Other survivors include 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a sister: Helen Murcuri of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jo Ann L. Westfield; a son: Jonathan C. Adams; and her parents: Micheal and Michelina (nee Simoniello) Yannuzzi.

Fr. Stephen Shields of St. Thomas the Apostle Church; Sheffield Lake officiated at a private service. Interment was private in Elmhurst Park Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, Avon Lake.
