Mary E. Trostle, 82, Enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and crafts

Mary Elizabeth Trostle (nee Williams), 82 years of age, formerly of Amherst and a resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, following a lingering illness.

Mary was born July 1, 1921 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where she was raided and lived. She had lived in Texas for one year, 6 years in Michigan and had lived in Amherst for 20 years before moving to Lorain two years ago.

Mary was a homemaker. She attended the Cambria Business School in Johnstown, PA. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and crafts. She was active as a Lutheran.

Survivors include her sons: D. Mark (Jane) Trostle of Plymouth Michigan and Jerry (Laurel) W. Trostle of Grand Prairie, Texas, her sister, her brother Telford A. Williams of Hoyt Lake, Minnesota, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Donald Franklin Trostle in 1984 and her parents Charles and Sarah M. (nee Wagner) Williams.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. The Rev. Kevin Saylor, pastor of Zion Lutheran, Lorain, will officiate. There will also be visitation Friday at the Henderson Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, PA from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Richland Cemetery in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
