Rosella E. Szekely, 86, Enjoyed gardening, birds, and bingo

She was born November 27, 1917 in Huron, Ohio and has been a Vermilion resident since 1935.
She worked as a Food Manager for Vermilion Public Schools retiring in 1984.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Vermilion, the Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Vermilion Garden Club, Amherst AARP, Vermilion AARP, Vermilion Golden Agers, Salvation Army, Keenagers, R.S.V.P. (Retired Senior Volunteer Person) Lorain Chapter, and AMVETS Post 22, Vermilion. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, birds and bingo.
Survivors include son Frank J. Szekely of Huron, Ohio, daughter Jean R. Alexander of Everett, Washington, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Elizabeth Chubak of Huron, Ohio, Julia Rudisill of Sedalia, Missouri, Ethel Lagando of Huron, Ohio, and her brother Paul Wargo, of Huron.
Preceding her in death were her husband Frank Szekely in 1979, parents James and Mary (nee Kuhar) Wargo, and brothers Louis and James Wargo, and sisters Mary Kristoff and Ann Bailey.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 14, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio where a Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Prayers will be said a the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
