John J. Ackerman, 59, Enjoyed hunting and trapshooting
John J. Ackerman, Jr., 59, of New London, died January 12, 2004 in Tucson, Arizona. Since his retirement he spent his winters in McNeal, Arizona.He was born September 29, 1944 in Sandusky, Ohio.
He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999 and most recently had worked at the Sandusky, Ohio facility. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapshooting and was a member of several trapshooting associations.
He is survived by his wife, Melody J. Ackerman, daughters, Jennifer M. Ackerman, Amy M. Reynolds and Tracie L. DeLarino; a son, Scot A. DeLarino; six grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and two brothers, Donn R. Ackerman, and William D. Ackerman.
No local services will be held. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Double Adobe Campgrounds, 5057 West Double Adobe Road, McNeal, Arizona, 85617.
