Doris E. Rounds, 85, Enjoyed traveling and gardening
Doris E. Rounds, age 85, of Eaton Township passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in Elyria Memorial Hospital R.M.C. after a short illness.She was born Sunday, August 11, 1918 in Eaton Township where she lived all of her life. She attended the First Baptist Church of Valley City. Mrs. Rounds was a homemaker and enjoyed working with the Women’s Republican Club of Eaton Township and working with the Board of Elections for Eaton Township. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter Betty Rosecrans of Sullivan, Ohio, two sons Larry Rounds of Eaton Township and Roger Rounds of Cleveland, Ohio, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard in 2000, brother Lester Cowley, sister Mona Larkey, and her parents Arthur and Grace Cowley, and a grandson, Donald Rosecrans.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. with funeral services Saturday in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Steele pastor of the First Baptist Church of Valley City officiating. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
