Christine Shivak, 44, Lifelong Lorain Resident
Christine Shivak, age 44, of Sheffield Township, died Monday, January 19, 2004 in the intensive care unit of Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following an extended illness.She was born in Lorain on June 29, 1959 and had been a life-long area resident of the city. Christine was a 1977 graduate of Clearview High School and went on to work as an assembler at the Joseph and Feise Company, formerly of Lorain.
She was a parishioner of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township.
She is survived by brothers: David M. Shivak of Lorain and Joseph A. Shivak of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and a sister: Judith Ann Norton of Lakeland, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Andrew and Loretta (nee Watras) Shivak.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway – Lorain. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery with Reverend Gaetano Menegatto, representing Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church officiating.
