Dorothy A. Kuzak Glass, 83, Enjoyed crocheting

Dorothy A. Kuzak Glass (nee Ledyard), age 83, of Sheffield Township, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

Born August 15, 1920 in Elyria, she had lived most of her life in the Elyria and Lorain areas.

Mrs. Glass was a member of the Polish American Club, Russo-Slav Club, and the American-Slovak Club, all of Lorain. She attended Elyria High School. Dorothy also enjoyed crocheting.

Dorothy is survived by her husband: John E. Glass; 5 sons: Herbert Zielke of Sheffield Township, Dale Kuzak of Elyria, Frank Kuzak of Boyton Beach, Florida, Gary Kuzak and Joseph Kuzak both of Sheffield Township; 2 daughters: Marcia Woods and Patrice Pabon, both of Sheffield Township; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Ralph Ledyard of Elyria.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Agnes (nee O’Neil) Ledyard; daughter: Yvonne Fisher (nee Zielke); brother: Paul Ledyard, Jr.; and sister: Juanita Opalenik.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Woody Chamberlain, pastor of First Lutheran Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will be held in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
