Violet Sabo, 87, Enjoyed gardening and cooking
Violet Sabo (nee Frameli), 87 years of age, and a resident of Elyria Township, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at her son’s home in Elyria.She was born October 1, 1916 in Marianna, Pennsylvania where she was raised and lived for 37 years. She has been a resident of Elyria since 1954.
She was a housewife and mother who loved caring for her children and grandchildren. Violet was a 20-year member of Peace Mennonite Church on West Ridge Road in Elyria. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, cooking, and interior decorating.
Survivors include her sons, Frank Sabo, Jr., of Elyria, Pete Sabo of Wakeman, Paul Sabo of Elyria, Ronald Sabo of Elyria, Norman Sabo of Brunswick, and Dennis Sabo of Elyria; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren two great great grandchildren; and her sister Betty Rhoades of Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Frank Sabo, Sr. on November 30, 1994; by her son Raymond Sabo at age 5; by her daughter Mary Sabo as an infant; by her grandson Sean Michael Sabo in 1992; by her parents Dominic and Stella Frameli (nee Carr); by her brothers Paul Frameli and Frank Fritz Frameli; and by her sisters Margaret Sabo and Terrie Zehender.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hemple Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Allan Patterson, pastor of Peace Mennonite Church of Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
