V. Joyce Smith, 68, Enjoyed camping, traveling, and famiy

Mrs. Smith was born on May 21, 1935, in Tuscaloosa, AL and moved to the Lorain area as a small child. She was a 1952 graduate of Lorain High School. She was a retired bindery helper at the former Lorain Printing Co., retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lorain.

She enjoyed camping, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Donald L. Smith to whom she was married on November 1, 1986, her four daughters: Karen L. Farlow, Barbara A. Palinski both of Lorain, Janice L. Prest of Pine Hurst, NC, Terri L. Schramm of Wellington, four sons: Charles R. Farlow of Sheffield Lake, Mark Douglas Farlow of Nova, OH, Scott Richard Farlow, Donald L. Smith, Jr., of Lorain, 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister, Willette Cook of Avon Lake.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Raymond and Mattie Odell (nee Broughton) Falls.

Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Friday, January 23, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on January 24, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH with Chaplain Beth McKee, chaplain at Elyria United Methodist Village, officiating.

V. Joyce Smith will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township, Ohio.
