Anna Ksenich, 85, Enjoyed needlework and crocheting
Anna Ksenich, age 85, of Lorain passed away on Monday, January 26, 2004 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home in Amherst following a brief illness.She was born January 19, 1919 in Lorain and had resided there until moving to Elyria in 1990.
Ms. Ksenich worked in the custodial department at US Steel in Lorain retiring in 1981. Prior to that, she worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain and the Greek Catholic Union Branch #77. She enjoyed needlework and crocheting.
Anna is survived by her sister: Mary Fazekas of North Olmstead; nephew: Wayne Fazekas of North Olmstead; and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Alexander and Anna (nee Olexa) Ksenich; and brothers: Alexander, Michael, John, and Andrew.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3244 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where a Parastas service will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N. Ridge Road, in Amherst. The Reverend Nicholas Rachford, pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church will officiate.
