Charles W. Greene Jr., 86, Enjoyed hunting and fishing

He was born in Lakewood and had been a resident of North Ridgeville from 1967 until moving to Elyria in 2001.

Mr. Greene served in the Merchant Marines from 1943-1945. He worked as a machinist for many years retiring in 1982 from Smith & Harris Manufacturing in Cleveland. He was a member of Lagrange Masonic Lodge #399 F & AM since 1969.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports, flower gardening and was a gunsmith.

Survivors include daughter, Joyce Johnson of Elyria; sons, Ron Greene of North Ridgeville, Don Greene of Sheffield Twp., Bob Greene of Macedonia, Garry Greene of North Ridgeville; sister Donna Yusko of Garfield Hts.; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Mae Greene (nee Baughman) in 1989; parents Charles and Christina Greene; sister, Doris Terabasso and great-grandson Ronald Charles Greene.

Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00AM. Rev. Paul Oberhaus will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
