Victoria Tagliavoni, 77, Enjoyed traveling and cooking

Victoria Tagliavoni (nee Bernaz), 77 of Amherst died on Saturday, January 31, 2004, at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Tagliavoni was born on July 7, 1916, in Leon, France, coming to the United States as a War Bride in 1946. She became a US citizen in 1947. She retired from the admitting office of Community Health Partners and Surgical Center.

Mrs. Tagliavoni was a member of Agudath B'nai Israel. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Tagliavoni, daughter, Esther "Penny" Brunner, son, Mark D. Tagliavoni both of Amherst, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters Elise, Regina, and her brother Victor all living in Israel.

Mrs. Tagliavoni is preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Avaim, parents Mordecai and Esther Bernaz.

Services will be held on February 1, 2004, at 10:30 am in Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, with Rabbi Michael Hecht officiating.

Victoria Tagliavoni will be buried at Salem Cemetery in Lorain, OH.

Chiva (period of mourning) will be observed at the home of her son at 220 Sleepy Hollow Dr., Amherst on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. and on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
