John J. Donovan, 66, Enjoyed woodworking

He was born May 7, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, and had lived in Wakeman the past 10 years moving from Cleveland.
He worked at Bettcher Industries in Birmingham for 25 years. He attended many trade schools including Polaris, Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, and JVS. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Donovan (nee Hickey); 2 daughters, Kathlene Ott of North Olmsted, and Maureen Brewer of Elyria; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Michael Donovan of Barrow, Alaska and Daniel Donovan of Verona, PA.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Helen (nee Hllavac)and daughter, Debbie in 1980.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. A Christian Wake service will be held at 6 pm.
Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion.
Inurnment will be at the St. Benedict Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
