Eunice J. Levit, 79, Member of Jewish Couples Club

Photo of Eunice J. Levit Eunice J. Levit, 79, (nee Baker) of Lorain, died on Monday, February 9, 2004, at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain, Ohio following a long illness.

Mrs. Levit was born on December 21, 1924, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and has lived in Lorain for the last 60 years. She was a graduate of Glenville High School in Cleveland.

She was a member of Agudath B'nai Israel Synagogue and a member of the Sisterhood. She was also a member of the Jewish Couples Club and the Second Century of Community Health Partners.

She had been employed as the office manager for Ted Jacob's Department Store. She also worked at the Lorain Board of Education, Bettcher Industries in Vermilion, and her family's business the former Baker Meats in Lorain.

Mrs. Levit is survived by her husband Harold Levit, daughter, Allyson Feger of Macungie, PA, sons, Neil Levit of Lorain, Rob Levit of Amherst, 9 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother Stanley Baker of Cleveland and her sister Marilyn Kaye living in Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents J. W. and Myrtle (nee Cohen) Baker.

Funeral services will be held on February 12, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio, with Rabbi Michael Hecht officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Agudath B'nai Israel Synagogue, P.O. Box 3188, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
