Ella Fredricka Hrivnak, 90, Enjoyed traveling and cooking

She was born October 6, 1913 in Cleveland, OH and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 31 years moving from Cleveland.
She graduated from Metropolitan Business College and began her career as an operator at Ohio Bell. She worked her way up to the position of executive secretary and retired after 34 years as a dial administrator where she was involved with some of the first computers used in the telephone industry.
She was a member of the Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion, was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers, a former member of the Eastern Star, Cleveland, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, yard work, crossword puzzles, and traveling. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed canning.
Survivors include her husband, William Hrivnak, of Vermilion; daughter, Betty Ann Viliwock of Folsome, CA; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and brother, Bill Swanzer of Wakeman, OH.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Lydia (nee Deger) Krieger, and a brother, Elder Krieger.

A memorial service will be held at the Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4470 Ridge Rd, Brooklyn, OH Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., Pastor David Bennett will officiate.
