Margaret Julia Behr, 80, Enjoyed sporting events with a special fondness of baseball
Margaret Julia Behr (nee Erdei), age 80, of San Diego, CA, and formerly of Lorain, died February 13, 2004, at the Care With Dignity Hospice in San Diego following an extended illness.She was born September 20, 1923 in Lorain and had been a resident of San Diego for the past 45 years.
Margaret was employed as a sales associate for the J.C. Penny Company where she served stores in Lorain and later in San Diego.
Mrs. Behr enjoyed all sporting events and had a special fondness for baseball.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: William M.; sister: Georgianna Concheck on Lorain; brother: Ernest Erdei of Lorain; devoted nephew: William Skura of Los Angeles, CA; and long-time friend and caregiver: Violet Galkaski of San Diego.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Demeter and Mary (nee Ringo) Erdei; brothers: Steve, Demeter, Gus, George, and Friar Brother Campion Erdei of the Conventional Franciscans; and sisters: Mary Boege, Helen Dobrin, and Elizabeth Erdei.
Please join her family for a memorial funeral mass on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv. Pastor of St. Anthony Parish will officiate. Private family burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
