Anna M. Kapron, 82, Enjoyed music and playing the piano and organ
Ann M. Kapron, (nee Prati), age 82, of Lorain, died on February 16, 2004 at Mt. Nursing Home, Parma, following a short illness.Born on January 16, 1922 in Magnolia, Ohio, she has lived in Lorain since 1949.
In her early years she was employed at Canton Hardware, Canton, Ohio as a clerk. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and former member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, St. Michael's Guild and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She enjoyed all kinds of music, playing the piano and organ, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter: Mrs. Gerard (Susan) Hannibal, of Cleveland Heights and her son: Rev. Fr. Alan Kapron, pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Barberton and St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Akron; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth and David Hannibal, brother: William Prati, of Tucson, AZ; 4 sisters: Katherine Tozzi, of Waynesburg, Ohio, Elena DeLizio, of Hamden, CT Margaret Messmer, of Pompano Beach, Florida and Mary DeLizo, of Hamden, CT.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years: Walter J. Kapron, in 1987, and a brother: John Prati.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2004 from 5-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a parastas service will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 E 40th Street, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Alan Kapron, her son will officiate assisted by area Byzantine Priests. Rev. Bishop John Kudrick, Byzantine Bishop of Parma, will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
