Kenneth E. Lyke, 71, US Army Veteran during Korean War

Kenneth E. Lyke - 71 of Avon, formerly of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, following complications of surgery.

Mr. Lyke was born February 12, 1933 in Hornell, NY and had lived in Toledo for 32 years prior to moving to Avon in 1996.

Mr. Lyke worked for Crown Cork and Seal, Toledo as a tow truck driver, retiring in 1991. He was a US Army Veteran Serving during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Hornell High School.

Mr. Lyke is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa Peneff (Craig) of Elyria and Shelley Lyke of Toledo. Other survivors include 2 granddaughters Krista and Allison Peneff, 2 sisters Dorothy Clark and Ruth Easterbrooks both of Hornell, NY and a brother Ralph Lyke of Perry, NY. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethelyn (nee Orvis) Lyke and a brother Robert Lyke.

Private Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. Arrangements arc by the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, Avon Lake. Memorials may he forwarded to the American Cancer Society, 43099 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
