Maria T. Orlandi, 89, Talented seamstress, enjoyec baking

Maria I. Orlandi, (nee Giacobbe), age 89, of Lorain, died Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a brief illness.

Mrs. Orlandi was born February 1, 1915 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Lorain since 1937 coming from her native Pennsylvania.

A parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain, she was a talented and gifted seamstress who also enjoyed baking and cooking. Additional interests included refunding, small animals, and spending time with her family.

Maria is survived by her daughter: Teri M. Campana of Lorain, sons: Gary D. Orlandi and William D. Orlandi both residing in Lorain, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, sister: Jane Uehlein of Lorain, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: William in 1996, by her parents: John and Teresa (nee Marcantonio) Giacobbe, brothers: Anthony, Michael, and Robert, and by sisters: Angela Provenza, Christina Novotny, and Georgianna Giacobbe.

Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway - Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the Church of Saint Peter presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery - Lorain.
