Martha A. "Marty" Shinsky-Bomback, 55, Enjoyed drawing and horses

Martha A." Marty" Shinsky- Bomback, (nee Brown), age 55, of Amherst, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center- West, following a brief illness.

She was born on January 28, 1949 in Hoff, Germany, coming to Lorain in 1951, where she lived until moving to Amherst in 1996.

She was a 1967 graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School. She enjoyed drawing, horses and spending time with her grandchildren.

Martha was employed for 30 years at the former Lorain Printing Company, retiring upon the plant closing in 2002.

She is survived by her husband: Gary F. Bomback; sons: Garry Shinsky, of Sheffield and Timothy Shinsky, of Elyria; 3 grandchildren; father: Thomas Brown in Lorain; sisters: Charlotte Sugerik, of Amherst and Sharon Strader, of Vermilion; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Sophie (nee Jachimovich) in 1989.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Carl Richter, pastor of First Congregational Church, Lorain officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
