Arnold Herman Krugman, 84, Enjoyed fishing and traveling
Arnold Herman Krugman, 84 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Grace Hospital in Amherst following a one-month illness.He was born March 11, 1919 in Elyria, Ohio and has been a resident of Lorain since 1947.
He served in the US Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was employed at Ridge Tool in Elyria for 35 years retiring in 1981 as a Tool and Die Maker. Arnold was a member of the Broadway Assembly Church in Lorain where he served as a former deacon, a choir member and was active in caring for the church facility. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling.
Survivors include his sons Dave and Daryl Krugman, both of Lorain, and Dale Krugman of Elyria; his daughters Diane Morrow of Lorain, Deborah Reighley of Birmingham, and Dorie Hoch of Elyria; nineteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and his brother Reece Krugman of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years Ann J. Krugman (nee Hurzon) on March 26, 1994; by his parents Arnold H., Sr. and Grace (nee McGill) Krugman; by his brother Daniel Krugman; and by his sisters Susan McKenzie and Ruth Miffendorf.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. from Broadway Assembly Church; 5495 Broadway, Lorain. The Rev. Mark Lance, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
