Maxine L. Buga, 68, Enjoyed Las Vegas, cooking, and sewing
Maxine L. Buga (nee Pecora), age 68, of Oberlin, died Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the Allen Medical Center in Oberlin following a lengthy illness.Mrs. Buga was born March 25, 1936 in Lorain, Ohio where she had resided until moving to Oberlin 30 years ago.
She was employed as a corrections officer at the Grafton Correctional Institute, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Buga was a lifetime member of the American Business Women, the Moose Ladies Chapter 907, the Oberlin VFW, and the Eagles 431.
She had attended Lorain High School where she was a cheerleader. Mrs. Buga enjoyed Las Vegas, MGM Casino, bingo, gardening, cooking, baking, and sewing.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years: Joseph J. Buga, Jr.; daughters: Kathy Kerecz of Avon, Terri A. Giffone of North Ridgeville, and Tracy Buga of Elyria; sons: Edward A. Rangus of Oberlin, Valmore C. Bartlett of Houston, TX, Sean M. Buga of Wellington, and Charles J. Buga of Amherst; brother: Ronald A. Pecora of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Valmore C. Bartlett; granddaughter: Angelique P. Burrer; and parents: Samuel J. and Edith I. (nee Wargo) Pecora.
There will be no services.

Arrangements are under the direction on the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road and St. Rt. 57 in Elyria.
