Arletta J. Smith, 71, Enjoyed being with her grandchildren

She was born Tuesday, June 7, 1932 in Orton West Virginia living in the area since 1955. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Elyria and enjoyed caring for her family home. Her grandchildren were her hobbies.

She is survived by three daughters Arletta Smith of N. Ridgeville, Ohio Catherine Gover of Elyria, Ohio Regina Santos of Elyria, Ohio, two Sons Kennard Smith of LaGrange, Ohio Bryce Smith of Wellington, Ohio, 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, three sisters, Arlou Minney of Elyria, Ohio Carol Sprouse of Normantown, West Virginia and Barbara Jones of Normantown, West Virginia, three brothers, Wayne Moss of Elyria, Ohio Donnie Moss of Vienna, West Virginia Paul Moss of Burning Springs, West Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1992, a son Bryan in 1959, her parents Clarence & Laura Moss, a brother Kenneth, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton, on Friday, March 12, 2004 from 6-9 p.m. with funeral services in the funeral home with Rev Bill Shomo, pastor of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Carlisle Township.
