Anthony F. Calabrese, 26, Enjoyed auto shows, sports, and farming
Anthony F. Calabrese, age 26, of Vermilion, was dead upon arrival at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, in Lorain on Friday April 30, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.He was born in Lorain on November 10, 1977 and resided in Berlin Heights from 1981 until moving to South Amherst in 1997. He made his home in Vermilion since 2002.
He was a 1996 graduate of Firelands High School. For the past four years he was a swimming pool installer for Brandt Pools of Amherst.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel in Lorain and the Missionary Benevolent Assn. of the church. He enjoyed auto shows, sports, farming, and participating gin tractor pulls.
Surviving is his wife of four years, Kelly (nee Pigman), two sons, Anthony Jacob and Noah Reign, both at home, his parents, Frank Tony and Aileen (nee Sayler) Calabrese of Berlin Heights, and a sister Dr. Jennifer Calabrese MD of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Frank in 1996 and Rosamont Calabrese in 1989, and maternal grandparents Melvin in 1983 and Mary Sayler in 1995.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel, Broadway at 27th Street, Lorain. Elder Mark Naro, and Elder Frank Palacios, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
