Peter Super, 95, Retired US Steel Laborer
Peter Super, age 95, of Lorain, died on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Lorain Manor Nursing Home, following a short illness.
He was born on September 9, 1908 in Dubrava, Bardejov, Saris, Slovakia, moving to Lorain in 1938.
Peter was employed as a laborer at US Steel for 25 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of Ss Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, United Steelworkers Union Local #1104 and the Golden Agers Pensioners Club.
Mr. Super is survived by his nieces: Mary Ann Barton and Dorothy Krupp, both of Hilliard, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years: Victoria (nee Mazurek) on August 6, 2003 and a brother: Mike Super in 2000.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Archpriest Basil Stoyka, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
