Suzanne E. Kinzer, 57, Enjoyed bowling

Suzanne E. Kinzer (nee Martin), 57, of Lorain, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center in Lorain after sudden illness.

She was born August 8, 1946 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She was a 1966 graduate of Lorain High School.

Mrs. Kinzer worked as a waitress at Bill and Don’s Restaurant in Sheffield Lake and as a nurses’ aide at Ohio Extended Care Center in Lorain.

She was a member of AMVETS Post #55 in Sheffield Lake, VFW Post #8686 in Sheffield Lake and Alcoholics Anonymous. During the holidays she helped Salvation Army as a bell ringer.

Mrs. Kinzer enjoyed bowling and participated in area bowling leagues.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Kinzer-Campbell of Wakeman, son Michael Kinzer of San Diego, California, grandchildren Lukas Campbell, Gabrielle Campbell and Mollory Campbell all of Wakeman, brothers Wayne Martin of Lorain and Alan Martin of Virginia and sisters Jackie Adams of Lorain and Joy Martin of North Royalton and her companion of over 12 years Charlie Parsons. She was preceded in death by her father WIliam Martin and her mother Eileen Lewis (nee Harold).

The family will receive friends Monday, May 10, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Road, Elyria Township. The Rev. Gaetano Menegatto will officiate. Cremation will follow. The ashes will be interred at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
