Mary Lou Wilkins, 77, Enjoyed Camping

Mrs. Mary Lou (Krueck) Wilkins, age 77, of Elyria, Ohio, died Friday, May 7, 2004 of an apparent heart attack at her home while gardening.

Born in Lorain, Ohio she graduated from Lorain High School in 1944, and lived most of her life in Elyria.

Mrs. Wilkins loved camping. She had a permanent camp at Clre-Mar Lakes. In earlier years, she and her late husband, Fred, had camped throughout the United States. Mrs. Wilkins was very artistic, & creative and enjoyed gardening and many types of crafts in addition to spending time with her family, friends and her dog Waggs.

She is survived by her Aunt Colleen (Mrs. Elmer) Krueck a niece Barbara (Mike) Zaleski, nephew Bryan Bonnett & sisters in Law Carolyn (Dale) Krueck and Esther (Don) Bonnett.

She is preceded in death by her husband Fred in 2001, her parents Carrie Krueck Schneider(nee Dobbeck) and Murlon Krueck, and her step-father Fred (Fritz) Schneider.

At Mrs. Wilkins request, there was no visitation or services; burial was at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.

Family suggest memorials be made to the Richard Ehlke Theatre Endowment at LCCC or the APL of Lorain County.

Arrangements were handled by Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, Inc., 1021-1028 Main Street, Grafton, Ohio.
