Carol Hazel Pember, 95, Loved being with famliy and her grandchildren and great grandchildren
Carolyn Hazel (nee Elliott) Pember, 95, of Lorain died on Sunday, May 9, 2004, at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a long illness.Mrs. Pember was born on November 24, 1908, in Jacksonport, AR and moved to Lorain at an early age. She had been employed at Richmond Brothers, Fisher Foods and Lorain Products. She is a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
She loved the family gatherings with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Pember is survived by her son, Norman Pember of Lorain, two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry N. Pember on April 20, 1961, her father John Abraham Elliott, her mother Carrie Belle Elliot-Richardson, her brother James Elliott, and sisters Mary Pennington, Merle Weber and twin infant brother and sister and her stepfather John T. Richardson.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. in the Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals with Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, officiating.
Carolyn Hazel Pember will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township, OH. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035 or Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
