Jean M. Collins, 83, Enjoyed cross stitch and reading
Jean M. Collins (nee Totten) 83, of Amherst, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, in EMH Regional Health Center, Elyria.She was born December 29, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was an Amherst resident but had also lived in Vermilion.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst, St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion, and St. Mary Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cross stitch and reading.
Survivors include her daughter Judith Sislowski, Vermilion; sons, Michael W. Collins, South Bend, Indiana and David J, Collins, Amherst; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Sue (nee Dixon) Totten; husband, Martin Collins, brothers, Robert Totten and William Totten; and sister, Betty Harrington.
Friends may call Tuesday May 11th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Prayers will be said at the funeral borne Wednesday May 12, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, Ohio. Father Lawrence N. Martello will officiate. Interment will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
