Maxine Rusiewski, 67, Registered Nurse, enjoyed flower gardening

Mrs. Rusiewski was born May 30, 1936 in Canonsburg, PA. Besides Canonsburg, where she was raised, she had lived in Detroit, MI from 1960-1975, Livonia, MI from 75-85, Arnold, MD from 85-89, and has lived in Avon Lake for the past 15 years.

Maxine was a Registered Nurse. She received her Nursing Degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, where she had worked for a time. She also worked at Canonsburg Hospital, Holy Cross, Detroit, MI, as well as a doctor’s office. She enjoyed flower gardening.

Mrs. Rusiewski is survived by her husband: A. Dennis Rusiewski, whom she married August 29, 1959. Other survivors include 3 sons: Dennis A. (Mary) of Dixon, IL., Mark D. (Brenda) of Chicago, IL., and Gary M. of Columbia, MD; 4 grandchildren: Calvin, Kendal, Nina, and Dennis; and her sister: Patricia Susa of Canonsburg, PA.

Preceding her in death is her brother: William Susa; and parents: Max and Felicia (nee Judish) Susa.

Friends may call during a Memorial Visitation at Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel; 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake on Saturday, May 15 from 1-4 p.m. Visitation will conclude with a prayer at 4 p.m. Memorials may be forwarded to the American Cancer Society, 43099 N. Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
