Gail J. Thomas, 61
Gail J. Thomas, (nee Forbes) 61, of Wellington, and formerly of Lorain, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a 6 month illness.Born October 14, 1942 in Amherst, Ohio, she lived most of her life in Lorain. For the past 6 months, Gail had made her home with her daughter in Wellington.
Gail worked for United Properties, Lorain, as an apartment manager at Jenna Terrace Apartments in Lorain for 7 years, retiring this past January, 2004. Prior to this, she worked in manufacturing for Bettcher Industries, Birmingham, for 15 years. She enjoyed cooking.
Surviving are her sons: Mark A. Nahm, Timothy M. Brown, and Glenn James Brown, all of Lorain; her daughter: Debra Aycock, of Wellington; her mother: Virginia Forbes, of Elyria; 5 grandchildren; and a sister: Cathie Buckingham, of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her father: Vincent G. Forbes.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 5 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. Tom Williams, associate pastor of Camden Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain, will officiate.
