Carlos M. Agosto, 67, Enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery, and watching boxing

Photo of Carlos M. Agosto Carlos M. Agosto, 67, of Lorain, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.

Born April 1, 1937 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he has lived in Lorain for the past 47 years.

Carlos worked as a grinder operator for US Kolbe, Lorain, for 34 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104, and enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery, and watching boxing.

Surviving is his son: Carlos A. Agosto, of Lorain; daughters: Leanora "Molly" Dandrea, of Jacksonville, Florida, Suzie Buddenberg of Springfield, Ohio, and Lulu Agosto, of Columbus, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; his mother: Guillermina Agosto, of Utuado, Puerto Rico.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Aida (nee Rojas), in 2003, and his father, Ramon Agosto.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. Mark Lantz, pastor of Broadway Assembly, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
