Bessie M. Morgan, 90, Enjoyed bingo and crocheting

Bessie M. Morgan (nee Thompson), 90; of Lorain, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a short illness.

She was born September 3, 1913 in Oberlin and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Mrs. Morgan was a graduate of Oberlin High School. She worked as a school bus driver for SBS Transit in Lou' in. She also worked at the Murray Ridge School workshop.

Bessie enjoyed bingo and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughters: Gail Sykuta, Vera Bilewicz and Treva Parker, all of Lorain, and Linda Field of Sidney, New York; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband: Gussie Arthur Morgan; parents: Isaac and Fannie (nee Hawk) Thompson; brothers: Howard Thompson, Jack Thompson, Lloyd Thompson and Floyd Thompson; sisters: Sarah Sheets and Mac Schnable; one great grandchild; and stepson: Richard Morgan.

There will be no visitation. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Meadowgreen Memorial Park, Huron. The Rev Ted Austin; pastor of Columbus Avenue Methodist Church in Sandusky, will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
