Elizabeth Pratt, 89, Enjoyed traveling to the New England States

Elizabeth Pratt (nee Yalik), age 89, of Lorain, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington after a long illness.

She was born September 26, 1914 in North Eaton and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Mrs. Pratt was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain, the Altar & Rosary Society, Legion of Mary and St. Macrina Guild, all of the church. She enjoyed traveling especially to the New England States.

She is survived by her sons Carl D. Pratt of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Ernest J. Pratt of Simi Valley, California, James A. Pratt of Vermilion and George A. Pratt of Wellington, daughters Constance R. Mesko of Vermilion, Dorothy A. Stanik of Amherst Township, Diane L. Olah of Sheffield Township and Julia M. Kish of West Salem, Ohio, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl L. Pratt in 1972, parents Charles and Rose Yalik (nee Urban), sisters Mary Teleha and Matilda Kompare and brothers John Yalik, Ernest Yalik and Joseph Yalik.

Private funeral services were held. The Rev. Edgar Anthony, pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church officiate. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
