Thomas J. Keyser, 57, Vietnam Veteran, enjoyed his grandkids
Thomas James Keyser, age 57, of Sheffield Lake, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a sudden illness.He was born September 8, 1947 in Lorain and lived in Sheffield Lake most of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Brookside High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was stationed in Morocco as a radio communicator. Thomas was retired after 28 years of employment as an assembler with Ford Motor Company, Lorain. He was currently working for the Diamond Group doing airport security at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. He enjoyed his grandchildren.
Mr. Keyser is survived by his wife Jennifer (nee Cochrane), whom he married in 1966. He is also survived by two daughters, Dawn Schwartz and Diahann Keyser both of North Ridgeville, three grandsons, and a brother Russell Keyser of Avon Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mary (nee Maxon) Keyser.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Charles A. Peal, pastor of Lake Shore United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorials may be forwarded to New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio, 44035-1450.
