Paul R. Brock, 54, Enjoyed boating, fishing, and visiting family

Paul Ray Brock, 54, of Vermilion, died Sunday, May 30, 2004 at his home after a sudden illness.

He was born April 6, 1950 in Brodhead, Kentucky and had been a Vermilion area resident for the past 50 years.

He had worked for Sysco Food Services, Cleveland for 17 years and at one time had been an operator on the Vermilion police boat.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, scuba diving, and visiting family.

Survivors include his mother Edna M. Spoonamore of Vermilion, two daughters, Shelly Johnson of Port Clinton, Ohio and Amy Wells of Vermilion, 7 grandchildren, companion of 20 years Beverly Fitz of Vermilion, 3 brothers, William Brock of Somerset, KY, Dale Brock of Wakeman, OH and Timothy Brock of Birmingham, Ohio, 3 sisters Hilda “Faye” Sheets of Birmingham, Ohio, Brenda Jackson of Amherst, Ohio, and Beverly Vertrovsky of Amherst, Ohio.

Preceding him in death was his father George L. Brock.

Friends may call Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 3-7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Heidi Strickler, associate pastor of Harbourtown Community Church will be officiating.
