Marcola Colon-Luzada, 72, Homemaker, enjoyed her pets
Marcola Colon-Luzada, 72, of Lorain, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Center, Elyria following in short illness.Born April 25, 1922 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in 1952 and has lived here since.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed her pets. She was a member Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.
Surviving is her daughters, Rosemary Workman, and Sonia Torres, both of Lorain, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, sisters, Doris Colon, of Hartford, Conn., Nieves Colon, of Guayama, Puerto Rico, Isabel Colon, of Guayama, Puerto Rico, Matilda Colon, of New York, NY, and Antonia Colon, of Hartford, Conn.
She was preceded in death by her husband 30 years, Graciano "Rocky, in 1981, a brother, Jesus Colon, in 2002, and a sister, Jela Colon.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. James Ols, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
